“It Passed! Softball Recruiting Contact Date Set at September 1, Junior Year ”

This is the headline at NFCA.org regarding recently passed legislation regarding D1 institution contact with 'Prospective Student Athletes' (PSA's). While this legislation is long overdue, it only affects Division 1 athletes; D2, D3, JC's, and NAIA  recruiting rules are still status quo. I've attached the article from NFCA.org which includes some FAQ's  regarding this legislation. It provides a lot of clarity to the recent rule change. I've also included a link to the NFCA.org website so you can read the articles regarding this matter.

    Northwest University Skills Camp

    By Curtis E Elliott 12/29/2017, 12:00pm PST

    Fastpitch Camp, January 6th.

Northwest University is holding a fastpitch camp in Olympia, Washington that the PNW Force facility.  This camp is open to all ages and will cover both field and hitting. I did not see anything specific for pitchers or catchers. I'm attaching the registration form.

For those looking to play in college this is an excellent opportunity right in our backyard. This camp is a great opportunity to meet the head coach, Montessa Califano,  and start the recruiting process.  Take some time and check out their website. If you get a chance, I would recommend going to Kirkland and check out the school. Pretty cool.

    Linfield College Camp!

    By Curtis E Elliott 12/29/2017, 11:30am PST

    All Skills Camp 1/20 - 1/27

Linfield College is holding their annual skills camp for anyone  8 - 18 years of age. Linfield College is located in McMinnville, Oregon and is a great school both academically and with their softball program.  I have not been to this camp, but I have no doubt their coaching staff will put together an excellent event.

This would also be a great opportunity for anyone interested in attending the school. They are currently looking at 2018 and 2019 high school graduates, but if you are a Sophomore or Freshman this would be a great opportunity to start the recruiting process.  If you are interested in this school I would email the recruiting coordinator your profile and video.
